Current projects in the development phase are located in a variety of countries throughout the world. Projects are based on scale up of commercially available process equipment for conversion of cellulose type materials such as corn stover, wood, and sugar cane.
Our project teams offer a complete range services encompassing economic feasibility studies through design, construction, and plant operation.
TAR SANDS
CICSCO, Inc., together with our strategic partners has been involved in the study and design of oil extraction from tar sands in the lower forty-eight states and Indonesia since 1997.
United States Geological Survey has estimated that more than 27 Billion barrels of oil lie in tar sand deposits in the United States. The largest deposits are in eastern Utah.
Tar sands have been a long considered but seldom pursued source of alternative fuels in the U.S. Often, it is because of poor research and process development.
With the viability of process design well documented and utilizing state-of-the-art technology we now have two projects in process in the continental U.S.
